I'm Sick

And I don't feel well.  Also, does anybody know how to edit the current html of my blog template to make the entry column bigger?  I want my pictures to be not squished so much. =/

  1. Cat, do you have Dreamweaver? The html coding is pretty intense on many of the blogger templates. Go to design, export your html and drop it into a high-end web design tool, like Dreamweaver. There you can try to manipulate some of the settings and import back into blogger. Remember to always save a backup of the original so you can always go back to it.

Also, since many templates are written by individuals, they don't all conform to the same naming conventions. Look for a formatting section near the top that has a wide width setting, similar to your main body section. I think mine was '#content' and had a width of 650 px. You'll want to bump up that number.

Warning, some formatting sections rely on a particular width. If you change the main body but not the header or footer, it could look wonky if they have concrete values coded in.

Hope you feel better very soon.

  2. I need help with HTML too. I hate being dependent on templates made by other people to have an even somewhat interesting blog. I currently am trying to figure out how to put links in my navbar at the top of my site...I'm clueless
