I am Extremely Busy

I'm so so so so so so so sorry for the sparse updates, dear followers and readers!  I am sad to say that the sparse updates will have to continue for a few weeks.  I am so sorry, but I am just too busy to update every day with oodles and oodles of pictures.

This is what my next few weeks are making me feel like.

Needless to say, I have some very important things demanding my attention.  Unfortunately for you, dear readers, blogging has fallen to the background for now.

My question for you is this:

Would you rather have more posts with fewer (or even no) pictures, or fewer posts with more pictures?

Thanks so much for your input!!! I have to go now though.  I have some exercising to do tonight, and I need to eat dinner first, let it settle, and stretch.

Bye!

How to Remove a Lazy Monster

There are several different methods for removing a Lazy Monster. Some are easier than others, and some are more reliable.

Method 1

Step 1

Determine if your monster is, in fact, a Lazy Monster. Lazy Monsters can often be confused with Procrastination Pests, Sloth Beasts, and Nap Monsters. It is important to know which one of these vermin you are dealing with. Here is an approximation of what these creatures look like, to help you determine what you are dealing with.

The Procrastination Pest is nothing like the Lazy Monster, but because of their similar effects, they are often confused. The Procrastination Pest is a bright color, often yellow, and has many tentacles which he wiggles to move. He uses distraction techniques to prevent you from completing important tasks at hand. Once he has an eye on you, it's very hard to escape his notice, and very hard to drag your attention away from them!

Sloth Beasts LOOK similar to Lazy Monsters. They don't stop you from doing things, or suck out your energy. They just make you do everything REALLY SLOOOOOOOWWWWW. Note the large eyes. Sloth Beasts use this to mesmerize you.

Nap Monsters are similar in color and effect to the Lazy Monster, but they are unique from the others in that they actually have legs.... not that they ever use them!

Step 2

Once you have determined that you do, in fact have a Lazy Monster, you must find a DEADLINE. This can be very hard to do when you still have the Lazy Monster attached, but it must be done. Locate and sneak up on a DEADLINE. Impending DEADLINES are best!

Step 3

You must catch the DEADLINE, and RESHAPE it into some sort of Spatula or scraping device. This is most easily done when the Lazy Monster is taking a nap. If it is awake, it may begin to suck your energy out more quickly, rendering you unable to move.

Step 4

Scrape off your Lazy Monster!

This is the most reliable, but certainly the most difficult method.

Method 2

Take a nap while your Lazy Monster is sleeping. Unfortunately, this method requires you to use the only time of day you can be productive to do nothing, but without you to supply energy, the Lazy Monster slides right off when he naps! This is a moderately reliable method. The problem with it is that if it is unsuccessful, you will be unable to be productive until the next time the Lazy Monster decides to take a nap.

The tricky part to the method is to wake up before the Lazy Monster can wake up and reattach itself!

Method 3

Distract it with Chocolate!

This is an effective method, and an easy method, but requires you to locate, open, and willing sacrifice a chocolate bar!

Method 4

Wait him out. Eventually, your Lazy Monster will either suck you dry, or get bored, and move on of its own accord. This is the easiest method, but also has the farthest reaching consequences on your social life and work ethic.

Congratulations, you are free from your Lazy Monster!!!

Now go take a break! You deserve it! =)

ATTENTION READERS!!!!

I have been attacked by a horrible vicious monster! He latched onto me on my way home from school on Thursday, and he refuses to let go! I'm talking, of course, about the LAZY MONSTER!!!

....He's not an exceptionally chipper monster. Certainly, the Laundry Monster and the Sock Monster have a lot more energy than he does...but that's exactly what he does! The Lazy Monster latches on to you, and SUCKS the energy out of you.

He occasionally (meaning for hours at a time), takes naps. It was during this time that I was able to be moderately productive today..... ish.

And so I leave you with these two drawings....and the knowledge that I have managed to find myself a Lazy Monster, and am currently working on detaching him.

Tubesocks, Beware!

SO, I was considerably less than thorough when I updated about my summer... I will probably REMAIN less than thorough. Still, I can't (in good faith) completely leave out the visit from Celeste and Thom.

It ended up being a really nice visit. We ate out several times. We also talked a lot. They also insisted on buying a few things for around the house. And Tyler got some new polo's. They look great on him.... too bad he will probably wear them so infrequently that he'll forget he has them!

Nice clothes for Tyler have a way of entering the closet, never to return. I think that some sort of Laundry Monster must be responsible. The Laundry Monster is a cousin of the well-known Sock Monster that lives in dryers all over the world. The Sock Monster looks something like this:

Don't be fooled by his deceptively cute sock hands! He does not just devour socks. He doesn't just hide them. He...ASSIMILATES THEM!!!! Kind of like a stalker going through your trash, he collects socks that interest him (which, based on my experience, consists of exactly HALF of every pair of socks you own, and stows them away, never to be seen again, except during his late night reminiscing when he pulls out the fuzzy blue sock that used to be part of your favorite pair that you can't wear anymore because he has one of them, and fondly pets it, remembering your cozy dryer, and the lint that he created there for you to clean out of the lint trap.

Anyways, I'm SURE that a cousin of the Sock Monster is living in my closet, eating my boyfriends clothing. Or perhaps assimilating them. I don't know. I have yet to find or catch this beast. He behaves in mysterious ways. Sometimes he eats Tyler's clothes. Sometimes he just SHRINKS the clothes so they don't fit him any more. Most devious of all, he sometimes moves things around so that when I attempt to retrieve them, they fall on me! He is nefarious indeed! I need everyone's help to locate this fiend. Here is an rough sketch of what he may look like!

Note the opposable thumbs. I suspect he has hoarded every pair of mittens I have ever owned, and assimilated them to become his hands, hands that are capable of grabbing, twisting, plucking, and other equally dexterous tasks. Beware! They may be a laundry monster lurking in your closet too! I suspect that his weakness must be a professional organizer. When he encounters this, he has no choice but to disassemble, replacing all your lost goods in strange locations, and escape.

Alas, I can not afford a professional organizer. I'm hoping a can of Raid might be good enough....

That is all.
